What is Cellulite?
Cellulite affects 90% of women and is the 'orange peel' dimpled appearance of the skin usually seen on the thighs, buttocks, hip, stomach and also the arms.
Underneath the dermis and epidermis are three specific layers of fat and cellulite usually develops in the subcutaneous fat layers. Hormonal changes can influence the way fat is stored and how fluid is retained in this particular layer. Over time, the fat and fluid increases, stretching the skin and inhibiting normal circulation. Vessels can literally be 'squashed' between fat cells and at worst, fibrosis results. The normal exchange of oxygen, nutrients and waste that takes place can no longer continue effectively and the destructive cycle continues.
What is Endermologie®?
Endermologie® is a specialised non invasive and unique treatment reducing the appearance of cellulite, shaping your body and improving overall skin fitness.
Using the Cellu M6 Keymodule, a small hand treatment head with motorised suction and rollers, it works by exercising the skin and body's connective tissue. The controlled suction gently lifts and holds the skin while the rollers act to massage and stimulate the area being treated. Fibrosis will be broken down and venous and lymphatic systems and stored up toxins can be released and eliminated.
A free assessment is required prior to commencing your treatment. This allows your consultant determine not only the suitability of treatment for you but also to assess the skin condition and design a tailored course of treatments to meet your specific needs. You will be required to wear a full length body stocking, which can be purchased at BodySense Solutions. This not only gives you privacy but allows the rollers to run smoothly and effectively over your body. Your body will be assessed regularly throughout your course of treatments but are welcome to book a single treatment so you can better a better understanding of how this treatment works and feels.
