How does it work? 

The Crystal 512 is different from other IPL machines and based upon Active’s patented GEM-PL technology (Geometrical Energy Management).  The Crystal GEM technology is a unique way to deliver energy to a predetermines target.  Unlike other IPL’s and lasers where energy is scattered on the skin, the GEM technology manages to concentrate the buik of the energy in a geometrical plane positioned under the skin.  This precise positing enables a selective targeting of hair follicles, pigments, vascular lesions, acne, etc.

Is IPL Hair Removal Permanent? 

Yes.  Dormant Hairs  that activate due to hormonal changes and some medical conditions may reappear in the future, but follicles that have been destroyed will not grow again.

Is it Painful? 

Everyone has a different pain threshold but because of the technology we use, we don’t need to overload the skin with excessive energy which makes it gentle on the skin.  There are some areas that some people find sensitive, such as the lip area.    A numbing cream can be applied prior to coming in for a treatment.  We are also happy to do a test pulse on the area to ensure your comfort.

Does the IPl have a large coverage?

How Many Treatments do I need? 

Permanent Hair Reduction can take up to 6-8 treatments.

How often do I need to have a treatment?
